Soil to Soul
Soil to Soul is an empowering nature and heart based community project that connects us to ourselves, others and the natural world around us.
Soil to Soul will create and nurture a welcoming, fun and safe space for people to develop self-care practices and enhance self-confidence, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Soil to Soul will also allow people to build and strengthen their connection with nature through land-based activities over the seasons of the year.
We want to share this project as an uplifting source of support for people who feel impacted by current societal challenges such as isolation, stress and overwhelm, lack of access to nature and financial pressures.
Each gathering will include an invitation to join us for:
– Embodied movement, dance, conscious connection to breath and stillness
– A community sharing circle
– Shared community meal around the fire
– Opportunities to learn and practise land based skills
– Crafting with natural materials
– Identifying and foraging plants and herbs

Where and when?
- Monthly from April 2023 (dates below)
- Marlpit community garden in Norwich
What to bring?
- Comfy clothes
- Bottle of water
Who can come along?
- Anyone over the age of 18
- Group size limited to 16 people
Soil to Soul event
The project will be run and hosted by Shona Sundhari from Buzzards and Worms, and Amy Woods from SoulShine.
Sessions will run monthly in Norwich, with an invitation to join a monthly online Zoom call, and an optional Facebook group and Whatsapp group to stay connected.
Shona will be weaving her passion and wisdom of how we can cultivate stronger connections to the natural world, and Amy will be sharing her love and experience of confidence-building and holistic wellbeing embodiment practices.
The inspiration for this project comes from our shared heart-led desire to bring people together to nurture the connections to themselves, their community and the natural world around them.
In our experience, people benefit the most from coming to the event monthly, to regularly connect with the community and garden through the seasons. However, we understand that this isn’t always possible so participants are also welcome to come along to individual sessions.

We are so thrilled and grateful that this project is fully funded by the National Lottery Community fund!
