All about SoulShine

We are a social enterprise based in Norfolk, UK, on a mission to inspire change, challenge social norms around body image, holistic health and well being and empower people to love and accept the skin they are in.

Through the means of coaching sessions, workshops, talks, support groups, online courses and body positive photo shoots, SoulShine aims to build a supportive and compassionate Body Positive Community where each person is celebrated for who they are.

Our Story

How We Got Started

Amy founded SoulShine back in 2016 after completing her training as an Eating Psychology Coach. After experiencing her own challenges with body image and food, Amy felt deeply called to support and empower others in their relationship with food and body.

Without really knowing where to start she created and ran a 6 week course, where she met Robyn. Together, fuelled by inspiration to make a change, they combined their skills and passions and SoulShine grew from strength to strength.

In May 2017 SoulShine collaborated with Shamanic Practitioner, Kate Fisher and photographer Rachel Wright to run the first Wild Woman Photo Shoot. A day in natural surroundings that supports women to feel empowered.

Kate then came to be a Director of the company and an essential part of the team.

Our story from Soulshine Norfolk

Where We Are Now

One of our core values is collaboration and with the support of funding from The National Lottery, Norfolk Community Foundation and other local charities Amy, Robyn & Kate have had the pleasure of connecting and collaborating with a number of different facilitators, artists and practitioners in Norfolk for the past 5 years. Offering a range of holistic wellbeing workshops and events including ‘The Thank You Body Festival’, ‘New year, True You Campaign’, ‘Waking the Wolf’ and ‘Wild Woman Week’ to name a few.

In 2019 Amy discovered Groove and loved it so much she trained to be a Facilitator of the Groove Method. Since then she has been offering a rich tapestry of practices that combine eating psychology, embodied and intuitive practices, Groove and music, guided visualisation and storytelling.

Uniting people through dance, Amy is passionate about inspiring people to move in their own authentic and unique way to feel uplifted, alive and at home in their bodies.

In 2020 Robyn gave birth to her beautiful baby boy, River and was inspired to create a support group for new mums and babies. A place where mums could relax, meet others, find peer support and be nourished and nurtured ‘Marvellous Mums’ now has in-person and online offerings all with the hope of empowering Mums, to have the confidence in themselves, to do it their way!

The newest project that will be up and running from January 2022 is˜Playful Parents’ – a parenting support group based around the principles of respectful parenting and the importance of play. Discovering these philosophies has made a huge difference to Robyn on her parenting journey so far and she is so happy to have the opportunity to create a safe and judgement free zone for parents to come together, learn and share ways to make parenting easier and more enjoyable.

We really look forward to what the next 5 years will hold!
